26th annual countryside open day adjacent to the visitors centre.

There will be workshops, demonstrations, stalls, Morris dancers, maypole dancing, crafts, outdoor activities and animals.

A fun day for all the family. Regular events include:

Morris dancing

Falconry
Pond dipping
Den building
Local wildlife and conservation groups
Traditional countryside crafts
Farmers market

Burbage Common Open Day 12th May 2019 – the annual Open Day will be held next to our Visitors Centre. The event runs from 10:30am to 4:30pm.

Burbage Common Open Day 8th May 2016 – the 22nd annual Open Day will be held next to our Visitors Centre. The event runs from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

Spring bank holiday

Wednesday 1 June 10.30am to 12.30pm. Nature Games Family Natural Sports Day:

Pine cone throw, timed bug hunt challenge, speed pollinating and great tree leap, finish with a medal ceremony.

Summer holidays

Wednesday 20 July 10.30am to 12.30pm. Mud:

Prepare to get muddy, including mud kitchen, mud splat competition and mud painting.

Wednesday 27 July 10.30am to 12.30pm. Wood:

Use tools to make items from wood

Wednesday 10 August 10.30am to 12.30pm. Water:

Pond dipping and making boats

Wednesday 24 August 10.30am to 12.30pm. Fire:

Learn how to safely light a fire, storytelling around the fire and popping popcorn

Heart of England Dog Show – 13th September 2015

Burbage Common Dog Walk – 14th June 2015, a charity dog walk in aid of the Guide Dogs. Its a free event, for information visit Burbage Dogs Unite

Burbage Common Open Day 10th May 2015 – the 21st annual Open Day will be held next to our Visitors Centre. The event runs from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

Burbage Dawn Chorus Walk 2015 – To be held on Sunday, 3 May 2015 from 05:00. A Walk around Burbage, to listen to the enjoy the wonder of a dawn chorus. For more information visit Dawn Chorus Burbage 2015

Dog show Sept 2014 – Burbage Common is hosting the ‘Heart of England’ dog show on Sunday 21st September. Photos of the event
